Tasheena Littleben
Diné
Weaver
Tasheena Littleben is a 3rd Generation weaver from Rock Point, Arizona. Tasheena learned how to weave traditionally by daily observing her mother from birth. She recently had a calling to return to her homeland to reconnect with weaving and pursue her talents in textile weaving. Since then, Tasheena was showcased front page by “Navajo Times” in January 2023 as a “Young Generation of weavers set out to revitalize Diné Culture”. She is grateful weaving has given her the opportunity to travel.
Littleben was invited by the Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Hawai’i to share her weaving story and culture. Her weavings consist of contemporary designs which is used to create handbags, apparel, and a one of a kind custom woven seat for a lowrider bike–showcased in The Autry Museum in Los Angeles.
Tasheena Littleben’s goals are to continue learning, teaching and sharing her practice with future generations.
